NCYSA OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Registration is now open for the 2011/2012 North Carolina Olympic Development Program Annual Tryouts.
The ODP (Olympic Development Program) is open to all players who are members of NC Youth Soccer and have birth years of 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000.
The early registration deadline for ODP try-outs is Monday, October 31, 2011.

ODP is the process for selecting a US National team in each youth age group. The process starts at the state level where each state holds open annual tryouts for each age group. The state identifies a pool of players of the highest caliber for the purposes of further developing their skills and abilities. Throughout the year the ODP team may attend sub-regional events to compete against other state’s ODP teams. Ultimately a state team is selected and head to compete in a Regional Camp with the other state team’s of the region. At the older age groups, regional camp is a means for further identifying players from each state team to form a regional pool of players and a region team. From regional teams, players can be identified into the national pool from which our US National Teams for each age group are selected.
The ODP Program is designed to compliment a players’ club season and is scheduled around NCYSA play dates and major tournaments. The ODP coaching staff is composed of the highest quality youth soccer coaches and college coaches. College coaches use the ODP program as a means for identifying players to recruit for their collegiate programs. ODP is a great development and growth opportunity for dedicated soccer players to experience the highest level of play from some of the most qualified and experienced coaches.
