FOOTWORK & FITNESS TRAINING
Parents and players often ask "what does it take to get to the next level, or what can I do to get better?" From my experience, the number one thing that separates good players and great players is the amount of time a player spends with the ball outside of soccer practice. Every classic level soccer player in the country attends soccer practice twice per week and plays 1-2 games per weekend. What will separate yourself from the pack is what you do outside of those 2 soccer practice per week. How much time do you spend with the ball training on your own away from your team?
HCSA is now offering a weekly supplemental training session open to all classic players as a structured opportunity to improve your game outside of your team practices. The training will focus on technical footwork and fitness with the ball. The training will be beneficial in giving players ideas for individual training activities they can perform on their own in the future.
The optional, supplemental session will be held on Wednesdays from 6:45-7:45 on the Stadium Field. Training will be lead by HCSA staff coach Cole Atkins. Sessions begin August 17.
